About the Collection
The OER4Teachers OER Collection is one of the key outputs of the Pacific Partnership for Open, Distance and Flexible Learning (PPODFL) initiative.
Through the activities and outputs of the partnership, we aim to improve teachers’ knowledge and skills in using OER in their teaching and to increase teacher’s capability for using ODFL in their teaching practice.
The regional version of the Collection provides examples of resources that have proved useful to teachers involved in remote and blended teaching during the recent school closures, whether due to COVID or other factors such as storms, volcanic eruptions, tsunamis, droughts or other challenges.
A national Collection creates a space to share additional resources that are tailored specifically to the school curriculum and learning context of a country. We believe that if contextualised resources are made available to teachers in the Pacific through an online Collection, then teachers will have greater access to quality resources. If teachers are trained in ODFL and OER, then they will have improved knowledge and skills in OER and ODFL. If teachers who are trained then are also provided access to additional OER, and provided guidance, with support of Ministries, on using the OER Collection, including uploading their own OER, then teachers will integrate OER and ODFL approaches into their teaching and learning. This will in turn contribute to increased access to high quality resources for both learners and teachers in the Pacific.
Any correspondence concerning this specific Collection should be sent to mail@oer4teachers.country.
